Quick help: Most financial and profile information in Rizq Money Manager is stored locally on your device. Before clearing app storage, uninstalling the app or changing phones, create a backup and keep it in a secure location.

1. Getting Started

Rizq Money Manager helps you record your income, expenses, accounts, budgets, bills, savings goals and financial preferences in one place.

1

Choose your currency

Open Settings or Finance Preferences and select the currency you use most often.

2

Create your first account

Add a cash, bank, wallet or other account and enter the correct opening balance.

3

Add income and expenses

Record each transaction with its amount, category, date, account and optional note.

4

Set a budget or savings goal

Create limits and targets so you can monitor spending and progress.

5

Create a backup

Save a backup before uninstalling the app, clearing app storage or changing your phone.

Tip: Start with accurate opening balances. Incorrect opening balances can make reports and account totals appear wrong.

2. Add Income and Expenses

Add an expense

  1. Open the Home or Transactions screen.
  2. Tap the Add button.
  3. Select Expense.
  4. Enter the amount.
  5. Select the account used for payment.
  6. Select a category.
  7. Choose the date and time.
  8. Add an optional note or description.
  9. Review the information and tap Save.

Add income

  1. Tap the Add button.
  2. Select Income.
  3. Enter the received amount.
  4. Select the account that received the money.
  5. Select an income category.
  6. Choose the date.
  7. Add an optional note.
  8. Tap Save.

Edit or delete a transaction

Open the transaction from the transaction list or history screen. Use the Edit option to update it, or select Delete and confirm the warning. Deleting a transaction may immediately change account balances, budget totals and reports.

Important: Check the amount, account and transaction type before saving. An expense entered as income, or a transaction assigned to the wrong account, will affect your totals.

3. Accounts and Transfers

Accounts can represent cash, bank accounts, digital wallets or other places where you keep money.

Create an account

  1. Open Accounts.
  2. Tap Add Account.
  3. Enter an account name.
  4. Select the account type.
  5. Enter the opening balance.
  6. Choose any available display preferences.
  7. Save the account.

Transfer money between accounts

  1. Tap Add Transaction.
  2. Select Transfer.
  3. Choose the account money is moving from.
  4. Choose the account money is moving to.
  5. Enter the transfer amount.
  6. Add an optional note.
  7. Review and save.
A transfer should not normally count as income or expense because the money remains yours and only moves between accounts.

4. Budgets

Budgets help you set a spending limit for a category or period.

Create a budget

  1. Open Budgets.
  2. Tap Add Budget.
  3. Select a category.
  4. Enter the spending limit.
  5. Select the applicable period, such as monthly.
  6. Save the budget.

Budget progress depends on the expense transactions entered in the matching category and period.

If the budget total looks wrong

  • Confirm the transaction date is inside the budget period.
  • Check that the correct expense category was selected.
  • Confirm the transaction is saved as Expense, not Transfer or Income.
  • Check whether duplicate transactions were entered.

5. Bills and Reminders

Bills help you record upcoming payments and due dates.

Add a bill

  1. Open Bills.
  2. Tap Add Bill.
  3. Enter the bill name.
  4. Enter the amount.
  5. Select a category.
  6. Choose the due date.
  7. Enable a reminder if required.
  8. Select a repeat option if the bill is recurring.
  9. Add optional notes.
  10. Save the bill.

Mark a bill as paid

Open the bill and select Mark Paid. Depending on the app flow, you may also be asked to choose the payment account or create an expense transaction.

Bill reminder not received

  • Confirm notification permission is enabled.
  • Check that the reminder was enabled for that bill.
  • Confirm the due date and reminder time are correct.
  • Remove battery restrictions for Rizq Money Manager if your device delays notifications.
  • Restart the device after changing notification settings.
Do not rely on the app as your only method for tracking critical payments. Device settings, battery optimization or Android restrictions may delay notifications.

6. Savings Goals

Savings goals allow you to track progress toward a target.

Create a savings goal

  1. Open Savings Goals.
  2. Tap Add Goal.
  3. Enter a goal name.
  4. Enter the target amount.
  5. Choose a target date if available.
  6. Enter the amount already saved, if applicable.
  7. Save the goal.

Update the saved amount whenever you add or remove money from the goal. The goal tracker is for planning and does not move money in your real bank account.

7. Reports, PDF and CSV Export

Reports summarize the information you entered into the app. Available reports may include income, expenses, category totals, account activity and period summaries.

Export a report

  1. Open Reports.
  2. Select the date range or report type.
  3. Review the displayed totals.
  4. Tap Export.
  5. Select PDF or CSV where available.
  6. Choose a safe storage or sharing location.
Exported files may contain personal financial information. Review them before sharing and avoid sending them to people you do not trust.

8. Profile Management

The optional profile can be used for personalization and financial preferences. Profile information is stored locally on your device.

Edit your profile

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select My Profile.
  3. Tap Edit Profile.
  4. Update the required details.
  5. Review the changes.
  6. Tap Save.

Add or change a profile photo

  1. Open Edit Profile.
  2. Tap the profile photo area.
  3. Select an image using Android Photo Picker.
  4. Confirm and save your profile.

Delete profile data

Use Delete Profile Data in the profile or settings area. This normally removes profile details and the selected profile photo, but does not automatically delete transactions, accounts, budgets, bills or savings goals.

9. Backup and Restore

Create a backup

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Open Security and Data or Backup and Restore.
  3. Select Create Backup.
  4. Choose the destination folder or file location.
  5. Set a backup password if the feature is offered.
  6. Wait until the backup is completed successfully.
  7. Keep the file and password in a secure location.

Restore a backup

  1. Create a new backup of your current data first.
  2. Open Restore Backup.
  3. Select the correct Rizq Money Manager backup file.
  4. Enter the backup password if required.
  5. Read the restore warning carefully.
  6. Confirm the restore.
  7. Wait until the process finishes.
Restoring a backup may replace or change your current app data. Do not close the app or restart the device during the restore process.

Backup file does not open

  • Confirm that the file was created by Rizq Money Manager.
  • Check that the file was not renamed incorrectly or modified.
  • Make sure the password is correct.
  • Copy the file to local device storage and try again.
  • Try another valid backup if the file is damaged.

10. PIN Lock and Biometric Authentication

Enable app PIN

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Open Security and Data.
  3. Select App Lock or PIN Lock.
  4. Create and confirm your PIN.
  5. Save the setting.

Enable biometric unlock

  1. Make sure fingerprint or face authentication is configured in Android Settings.
  2. Enable the app PIN first if required.
  3. Open Rizq Money Manager security settings.
  4. Enable biometric unlock.
  5. Complete the Android biometric confirmation.

Biometric option is unavailable

  • Your device may not support compatible biometrics.
  • No fingerprint or face may be enrolled in Android Settings.
  • The device screen lock may not be configured.
  • Biometric hardware may be temporarily locked after failed attempts.
Rizq Money Manager does not receive or store your fingerprint or face template. Biometric verification is handled by Android and your device hardware.

11. Notifications

Notifications may be used for bills, recurring transactions, budgets and other reminders enabled by you.

Enable notifications

  1. Open Android Settings.
  2. Open Apps.
  3. Select Rizq Money Manager.
  4. Open Notifications.
  5. Enable the required notification categories.

Notifications arrive late

  • Disable aggressive battery optimization for the app.
  • Allow background activity where your device provides that option.
  • Confirm automatic date and time are enabled.
  • Restart your phone.
  • Open the app after a device restart so reminders can be refreshed.

12. Advertisements and Privacy Choices

Rizq Money Manager may display advertisements through Google AdMob. Where required, the app may show a consent message before requesting ads.

Review advertising privacy choices

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Open Support and About or Privacy.
  3. Select Privacy Choices if the option is available.
  4. Review and update your choices.

The Privacy Choices option may appear only where required or supported based on your region and consent status.

Ads are not loading

  • Check your internet connection.
  • Disable VPN, private DNS or ad-blocking temporarily.
  • Restart the app.
  • Wait and try again later if the advertising service is unavailable.

The app should remain usable even when advertisements do not load.

14. Frequently Asked Questions

Is Rizq Money Manager connected to my bank?

No. The app is primarily a manual personal-finance manager and does not automatically access your bank account.

Does the app upload my transactions to a server?

Your financial records are designed to remain stored locally on your device unless you intentionally export or share them.

Can I use the app without creating a profile?

Yes. Profile information is optional unless a specific feature clearly requires a preference such as default currency.

Will deleting my profile delete my transactions?

Normally no. Profile deletion and financial-data deletion are separate actions unless the app clearly says otherwise.

What happens if I uninstall the app?

Locally stored data may be permanently deleted. Create a backup before uninstalling.

Can I recover a forgotten backup password?

For security reasons, an encrypted backup password may not be recoverable. Keep it in a safe place.

Why is my account balance incorrect?

Check the opening balance, duplicate entries, transfer direction, transaction type and selected account.

Can I change the default currency?

Open Finance Preferences or Settings and select the required currency. Existing values may not automatically convert to a new exchange rate.

Does the app provide financial advice?

No. It is a personal record-keeping and budgeting tool, not a financial adviser, bank or investment service.

Why did I miss a bill reminder?

Notification permission, battery optimization, background restrictions, an incorrect due date or device settings may prevent delivery.

Can I export my data?

Supported versions may provide PDF, CSV or backup exports. Availability can vary by feature and app version.

Does Rizq store my fingerprint?

No. Biometric verification is handled by Android and supported device hardware.

Why do I see advertisements?

Advertisements help support app development and maintenance. They may be delivered through Google AdMob.

Can I change advertising consent?

Where available, open Privacy Choices inside Settings and update your advertising preferences.

Can I use the app offline?

Most local finance features should work offline. Ads, legal pages, support links and other online content require internet access.

How should I report a bug?

Email support with your device model, Android version, app version, steps to reproduce the issue and a screenshot with sensitive information hidden.
